Virginia Regional Center for USJFCOM Workforce Transition and Business Development
The Virginia Regional Center for USJFCOM Workforce Transition and Business Development is the focal point for economic adjustment response, programs and assistance related to the disestablishment of the United States Joint Forces Command. The Center is here to help individuals and businesses impacted by the USJFCOM disestablishment.
The Commonwealth of Virginia administers the center in partnership with the City of Suffolk, Opportunity Inc. of Hampton Roads and other regional partners. It is funded through a grant from the U.S. Department of Defense, Office of Economic Adjustment.
The Center supports a wide variety or economic and workforce development activities, including: business attraction and retention, entrepreneurship assistance, communication and outreach activities and worker assessment, career counseling, job search assistance, skills training, and a variety of career-related workshops. The Center website will give you an overview and access to many of these activities, services and resources.
